Dianna DiToro

Hi Friends,

I'm so thrilled to be able to share you Dianna DiToro's story of how CrossFit changed her life.

On 22 February 2012, her husband LtCol Thomas Budrejko and six other Marines died in a training accident near Yuma, AZ.

"Within minutes, my CrossFit gym was at my house" Dianna mentions. She received support from both her CrossFit and Military families to help with her loss.

A memorial WOD, Vengeance, has been created in honor of the fallen marines. CrossFit boxes across the country have started doing the WOD and raising money for the families of the fallen marines.

She goes on to say "This wasn't anything I asked for... this was someone who said 'I wanna help, she's part of the CrossFit community... what can we do to honor their sacrifice and support you?'".

Dianna has been so grateful for the support and help she received while she has been fighting this battle. She has taken this gratitude another step further by starting a new project, ThankWOD, in order to increase the amount of gratitude and thanks in this world. Check it out!

Vengeance

Hi Friends!

I've had the privilege of visiting Source CrossFit this past Saturday to cover a fundraiser they held to support Semper Fidelis Health & Wellness.

The WOD was "Vengeance" in memory of the fallen Marines of the Vengeance Squadron HMLA-469.  Seven Marines died tragically in a training accident on February 22, 2012 in Yuma, Arizona.

CrossFitters from across Southern California came out to show their support, donate, and sweat for a good cause. It was so inspiring to see how CrossFitters come together to honor our armed forces and help their family. Theresa Hornick did a fantastic job of organizing the event and making sure everyone had a great time.

On Saturday I met so many incredible people and feel genuinely honored to tell their story. I captured a lot of great footage and I'm hard at work on getting this first video edited.

The Journey Begins

Dear Friends,

In seven days I will be embarking on the most challenging and yet rewarding chapter of my life.

My aim is to travel this country and find CrossFit athletes whose lives have been changed by CrossFit in some significant way. I want to tell your story. Perhaps you lost 100 pounds, overcame depression, or regained enough strength and mobility to play with your grandkids.

I'm confident stories like these are waiting to be told.

Please get in touch and share your story with me. I'll travel to you, document your story, and post the resulting video on the internet.

I want to change the world by demonstrating the power of people that believe in themselves. In doing so perhaps others will be inspired to take action to improve their own lives.

This will be hard, but it will be worth it. Ze Frank says it best.
